The Best Beaches and Bays around Geyikli

From Dalyan village beach to Akliman, Yeniköy harbour and Babakale — our favourite swimming spots in the North Aegean, with distances from Chiyanno's Inn.

The Geyikli coast is known for the cool, clear water of the North Aegean. One of the questions our guests ask most is "Which beach today?" — here are the routes we have recommended for years.

Within walking distance: Dalyan beach and Odunluk

You can walk down to the sea from the guesthouse. Dalyan village beach is a calm, family-friendly stretch of sand. To the north, the square by the historic Odunluk pier is our favourite spot for sunset over Bozcaada.

Yeniköy harbour (28 km)

A small fishing harbour reached through the village of Üvecik — ideal for a quiet day away from the crowds.

Akliman beach (38 km) and Babakale

With fine sand and turquoise water, Akliman is one of the best-known beaches in the area. While you are there, don't miss Babakale, 9 km further on: this little fishing town at the westernmost tip of mainland Anatolia has an 18th-century Ottoman castle and harbour restaurants serving fresh fish.

Kadırga Bay (70 km)

With its long beach and clear water, Kadırga pairs well with a trip to Assos. We recommend the Ezine–Ayvacık road.

Bozcaada's beaches

If you take the ferry to the island, Ayazma, Sulubahçe and Habbele beaches are waiting. See our Bozcaada ferry guide for details.

Stay with us while you explore the North Aegean. Chiyanno's Inn is a family guesthouse in Dalyan village, a short walk from the sea and facing Bozcaada.
